ABOUT KCR
EXCELLENCE AND PROFESSIONALISM
I have been classically trained as a dressage rider since I was 13. As a working student in my first barn, I had the opportunity to ride many types and levels of horses. I interacted with a variety of riding disciplines and riders of different levels daily.
My training also included working with Anne Wood in Colorado as a summer intern for the last seven years. With Anne, I worked in Western and English disciplines. I also trained at Roy Yates Training Center in Colorado for several years. Roy Yates specializes in reining horses and colt starting.
As a working student, when I turned 14, I was fortunate enough to join Mercedes Andazola Dressage at High Valley Stables in Newberg, Oregon. I am still at this beautiful barn 9 years later, and loving it! I have also been working with Jonath Robles, a reining and colt starting trainer in the area, helping him start horses, training, and exercise.
I have extensive Dressage and Natural Western Horsemanship knowledge and specialize in green horses, off-track race horses, problem horses, quarter horses, and warmbloods.
I thoroughly enjoy building a solid foundation in people’s relationships with horses. Young riders always start on the lunge line to establish the fundamentals of a steady seat and hands. All are welcome at KCR Horsemanship!
